Beni Suef University's first semiconductor society
Empowering young engineers. Designing the chips of tomorrow.
BeniChips helps students in Egypt and beyond learn chip design and electronic hardware through workshops, hackathons, and real tapeout bootcamps.
Our programs
Learn by building, together.
Intensive workshops, hackathons, and bootcamps that take you from curiosity to a real chip design.
01
Intensive workshops
Short, hands-on sessions that introduce digital design, embedded systems, and the tools behind modern chips.
02
Hackathons
Team challenges where students turn ideas into working projects in a short, focused sprint.
03
Tapeout bootcamps
Multi-stage bootcamps that take students from first concepts to a design submitted for fabrication.
Courses · In development
Computer architecture: build a RISC-V CPU in Verilog
Our first online course is on the way. It ends with a processor you designed yourself.
Our impact
What we've done so far.
About us
Chip design shouldn't depend on where you live.
BeniChips began as Beni Suef University's first semiconductor society. Today we run workshops, hackathons, and tapeout bootcamps, and we're building online courses so students anywhere can learn how chips are made.
We start in Egypt, where we know the students and the gaps, and we're growing outward from there.
Our mission
Developing Africa's deep tech talent in chip design and electronic hardware innovation.
Our vision
A region where any curious student can learn to design chips and build hardware, and then do it for real.
